Since a young age, massage has always been part of my life. Receiving my degree from Seattle Massage School in 1999, I have continued to grow in my experience and knowledge. I have worked in spas, clinics and privately, and I am excited to be back at the The V Spa after taking leave to raise my two kids. I believe strongly in the many benefits of massage. Utilizing different techniques and modalities, I will work to help achieve the personalized results you are here for. Whether deep tissue, relaxation, injury treatment, anxiety, stress, insomnia, chronic pain, arthritis, improved athletic performance and more, there is something for everyone. I look forward to working with you soon!
My philosophy is that massage is a chance to reconnect with your body and relax your mind. I believe it's a chance to discover more about yourself at the same time. The modality I enjoy most is myofascial release, meaning, finding those tense, hard to locate areas and working to provide mobility and targeted all over relief. I enjoy gentle, or deeper massage. Together, we can learn collaboratively in an adaptable session tailored to your present needs. Let's take a step to improve today.
My name is Coreen, I graduated from Tumwater many seasons ago (1990). I acquired my massage license in 2000 and spent 13 amazing years at a prestigious day spa before returning to school to become a nurse. I love being a nurse and feel honored to have the opportunity it provides to make a difference in the lives of others but western medicine has a lot to learn about the mind/body connection and how powerful intention can be on our overall state of well-being. I believe our bodies are perfectly designed and capable of regaining a sense of balance no matter what the obstacle, we just need a little help sometimes. Massage is a beautiful tool to help you regain your balance and keep you moving in a positive direction. Thank you for taking this time for yourself! I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better health!

As a licensed massage therapist, I graduated from Oregon School of Massage in 2011. Taking care of others has always been what I do. After years of working in elder care, after-school care and early childhood education, I switched my focus back to adults. My massage clients tell me I have an intuitive touch. I take pride in providing relaxing massage that includes a blend of techniques tailored to each client's specific needs. I work hard to help all my clients achieve their mental and physical health goals. In my personal life I love to dance, kayak, and create all kinds of art!
Aloha! My name is Kanako. My husband and I moved from Hawaii in the fall of 2022, and I am excited for the opportunity to serve The Valley community! Growing up, I envisioned myself working as a helping professional. Living and working in Hawaii was a great place for me to immerse myself in the culture of warm Aloha and genuine hospitality, and that is the place where I had the honor and privilege to meet a native Hawaiian teacher and studied the art of Lomilomi. Lomilomi is an ancient Hawaiian healing practice which has been passed down over generations from Kumu Lomi (Lomi teachers). I was trained to interpret and convey Lomilomi as an "expression of the island". With that said, my practice is centered on sharing the spirit of Aloha through Lomilomi, and also integrating the Japanese healing modality called "Seitai" (facilitating self-healing power to "bring the body in balance" by using elements of Shiatsu), as well as Western modalities (Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Pin & Stretch, injury treatment). I am passionate about continuing to update and obtain new knowledge and skills so that I can share it with my clients to help them get out of pain. Last but not least, I believe in the importance of self-care and that one massage has the healing potential to make you feel better, energized, uplifted, relax better and have a softer outlook on life. I look forward to working with you!
The foundation of my massage skills include Swedish relaxation and injury treatment techniques like passive stretching, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I am a graduate of Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy and am continuing my education with a focus on deep relaxation work using techniques like parasympathetic stimulation, mind-body connection and breathwork. Outside of my bodywork practice, I spend time outdoors, enjoy animals and working within the local farm community. I am so happy to contribute to The V Spa and excited to work with you!
Jen is passionate about movement, which makes The V Spa an exciting place to work as a massage therapist! She is a graduate of BodyMechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage, and also holds Yoga and Reiki 1 & 2 certifications. In addition, she is interested in fascia, anatomy and physiology, the nervous system, trauma healing, and the lymphatic system. Her goal is to work with the client to achieve an optimal healing experience, focusing on communication and offering explanation of the why behind the treatment technique. She believes each massage is a puzzle needing the right pressure, communication, technique, and knowledge of the body's history. Outside of massage therapy Jen loves traveling, growing food, and being active outside.

Julie is board certified in massage therapy; and is also a licensed occupational therapist with advanced training in lymphedema therapy. She has practiced therapy in many different settings, including home health, yoga studios, and spas. Her clients have included Olympic and professional athletes. I was drawn to massage at a young age. I started small with the feet and shoulders of friends and family. As I've gotten older I made it my career and passion. Sixteen years later I have explored many different modalities and have come up with my own style and way of balancing out the body. I have worked the last 8 yrs in a very active retirement community in the Sacramento area of California. Working on athletes, weekend warriors, and those just trying to feel better. I love the idea that every body is different and has its own story to tell.
I am a long-time yoga teacher at the Valley, and now a massage therapist at The V Spa. I look at each person's unique posture pattern, and help them into more ease and alignment. Having over 10 years of experience in yoga and meditation, I think of the body and mind in a holistic way, and understand that everyone holds stress differently. For those days that you're feeling worn out, I might pair soothing strokes with deep breathing and guided relaxation to help your nervous system into a state of rest and repair. Depending on your needs, I might also incorporate passive or active movement: some of my favorite techniques are myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (or PNF), and pin and stretch - all of which involve range of motion. So, whether you're in the mood for soothing stress relief, targeted treatment for misalignment and past injury, or something in between, I'm happy to tailor each session to suit your needs.
Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a licensed Massage Therapist as well as Esthetician. What brought me to both fields was a love to help others and give back in this world. When someone comes in for a deep tissue massage and has a specific area of discomfort, it is truly wonderful to be able to diminish their pain and have them leave better. As an esthetician, it is fun and rewarding to be a source of knowledge about skin and waxing needs! I am educated on skin care along with performing a relaxing treatment that improves the overall look of skin. I will leave you with a quote that speaks best towards both fields. “Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love.”
I find satisfaction knowing massage therapy helps my client's quality of life by reducing their pain levels and improving overall relaxation. I went to Renton Technical College to become a massage therapist and graduated in 2013. I specialize in deep tissue work and medical massage, specifically head, neck, and jaw treatments, but am able to specifically treat anything. I acquired my cupping certification in 2015, and intraoral massage endorsement in 2018. I would love to meet you to start your own personalized treatment plan, or for relaxation and self care!
Many of my aspirations are cultivated from personal health struggles and a determination to find “beauty for ashes.” Early on, unfiltered interests in art and nature drove my pursuits to floral design. After a few years of hard work and tree sap filled holidays, I began to explore botanicals in other therapeutic applications by becoming an esthetician. I suffered from acne as a teen and still into adulthood; so the fundamentals of skincare education come intrinsically. My years in the skincare field span from the Pacific Northwest to the Southwest Region of Montana. I look forward to seeing where massage therapy may spur new avenues ahead.
